Pendulum Test for Car Parking Area

Pendulum Test for Car Parking Area

GripBooster conducted slip-resistance testing across three different car parking areas to assess surface traction and support safer movement. A Pendulum Test is a recognised method for evaluating the slip resistance of suitable floor surfaces and helping identify areas that may require anti-slip treatment.

The testing programme covered three separate Car Parking Areas and took approximately 90 minutes to complete. Both anti-slip performance and tyre-related noise were assessed as part of the site evaluation.

Project Summary

Pendulum Test for Car Parking Area

Car parking surfaces can present slip risks due to water, dust, oil, and other contaminants. A Pendulum Test helps evaluate the slip resistance of suitable surfaces and provides useful information for assessing floor safety in parking facilities.

Anti-Slip Testing

Slip-resistance testing helps identify whether a parking surface may need further assessment or an appropriate anti-slip treatment. The test method and interpretation depend on the surface material, conditions, and applicable testing procedures.

Tyre Noise Test

Tyre noise can occur when vehicles turn or manoeuvre across certain parking surfaces. The tyre noise assessment helps evaluate this concern and identify whether further investigation or suitable surface solutions may be required.

Our Testing Approach

The three parking areas were assessed within an approximately 90-minute testing programme, combining slip-resistance testing with a review of tyre-related noise where applicable.

Our Approach

1

Site Assessment

Identify the three car parking areas and review their surface conditions.

2

Pendulum Testing

Conduct slip-resistance testing at the selected locations using a suitable pendulum test method.

3

Tyre Noise Assessment

Assess tyre-related noise during vehicle movement and turning, where applicable.

4

Review and Recommendations

Review the observations and recommend suitable next steps based on the findings.

Project Outcome

The assessment was completed across three car parking areas within approximately 90 minutes. The Pendulum Test and tyre noise assessment were intended to provide useful information about surface slip resistance and tyre-related noise. Specific test readings and conclusions should be included in the final report where available.
